We’re excited to get the 2022-2023 school year underway!
Below, you will find a number of resources and details for starting the school year - breakfast and lunch, school supplies, calendars and more.
We take the safety of our students and staff seriously and continuously refine security measures. Each year, our staff receives training through the Hancock County Sheriff's Office and we conduct annual drills and other exercises with first responders. Additionally, we have a school resource officer, who is also a sheriff's deputy, dedicated to being on our school campus daily.
New this year, we've added a secure entrance to the high school much like what exists at the elementary. Students coming after the start of the school day or visitors to the building should use door B4 (near the auditorium). We will continue to be vigilant about entrances being secure during the school day, which may mean that when attending an activity during the school day, you will need to sign in through our school offices.
Please encourage your children to speak up if they see or hear something concerning. Unfortunately, we cannot be complacent about school safety.
Hancock Public Health is hosting back-to-school vaccination clinics on Tuesdays at their office. Vaccinations are required in grades K, 7, and 12. More details are available on this flier from the health department: https://5il.co/1eus1
Successful schools are the result of strong partnerships with families and communities. When you have a question, concern, or idea, please don’t hesitate to reach out to one of our administrators. We strive to ensure that Cory-Rawson Local Schools offer the benefits of a small school while ensuring quality opportunities for all students and look forward to a school year full of growth for our students.
In our hearts, the green and gold,
Jason (Jay) Clark
Superintendent
